We are pleased to announce that registration for the 3rd IZTECH Quantum Days is now open. Organised in collaboration with Quantum IZTECH and QTürkiye, and sponsored by Optica, with the support of TÜBİTAK and Kuanticy, the event will take place on 16–17 April 2026 at the İzmir Institute of Technology.
Plenary speaker: Prof. Dr. Gregor Weihs | We are honoured to host Prof. Weihs, Vice-Rector for Research at the University of Innsbruck, as our plenary speaker.
Prof. Weihs is an internationally renowned physicist, recognised for his significant contributions to quantum optics and quantum information science. Having completed his PhD under the supervision of Anton Zeilinger, his research primarily focuses on experimental tests of quantum entanglement and Bell’s inequalities. He played a crucial role in obtaining the key results that form the scientific foundation of the 2022 Nobel Prize in Physics through his pivotal experimental work within the research line that led to it. Prof. Weihs, who combines academic leadership with cutting-edge research, will share his expertise and recent findings with our participants.
